Billy's Bike Shop

Billy's Bike Shop is owned and operated by Billy Gillespie and Erin Disterheft.  Since 1981, we have strived to provide our customers with honest, knowledgable, and experienced service.

Roo has been the official greeter of Billy's since February 2011.  In her free time, Roo loves to run the trails at Ft. Custer, hunt, and take over the nearest couch.  Roo is a Vizsla; one of the oldest sporting breeds on record.  Originating in Hungary, they were the faithful companions of the Magyar warriors who used them to hunt small game.  Vizlsas are now used as versatile hunting dogs and will point upland birds and retrieve waterfowl.  Roo has hunted blue grouse in Colorado, hungarian partridge and sharptail grouse in Wyoming, and ruffed grouse here in Michigan.  Come prepared to be officially greeted when you walk through our door!

 Erin Disterheft has been one half of Billy's Bike Shop since 2002.  With a degree in Exercise Physiology from Western Michigan University, Erin has the knowledge and experience necessary for coaching, fitting, and helping customers select the proper bicycle for their individual needs.  Erin is also the 2005 collegiate mountain bike national champion, 2008 expert national champion,  and currently one of the top professional racers in the Midwest.

Billy Gillespie is the founder of Billy's Bike Shop.  With over 30 years of experience servicing, selling, racing, and coaching, Billy is highly experienced in the field of cycling.  Billy has coached two collegiate national mountain bike champions and one junior world champion.
